Hypno-Systemic Conversational Dialog

The hypno-systemic conversational dialog is one method of conducting a conversation. The aim of this method is to “re-direct”  the client’s attention towards solutions. To this end, I especially focus on asking you questions, and above all, ones that promote exploration of solutions.

The underlying concept is that for the most part, people unconsciously regulate themselves. In order to influence this self-regulation in a target-oriented manner, in our conversations together we search for appropriate, consciously accessible interfaces.

Above all, this takes place by tapping the ability of each individual to creatively re-direct his or her attention. Applying hypnosis techniques helps to create an altered attention that differs from everyday consciousness.

Hypnosis results in a kind of trance, which is only possible with the consent of the concerned individual. This is helpful, because especially the logical-rational conscious and the unconscious (usually eidetic/tangible) states can be more easily and better aligned. At this point, the emphasis of our work involves simultaneously focusing on inner and goal-oriented images.

The use of deep relaxation methods is not always necessary, and, in some rare cases, not possible. Often “simple” conversation is what helps. The solution-oriented systemic approach that I apply involves asking special questions directed at uncovering and understanding the larger connection, or, in other words, the system.

Based on the assumption that human self-regulation takes place for a good reason, problems are understood to represent solutions to some previously unrecognized issue. Indeed, sometimes it makes sense to acknowledge and look more deeply into old patterns; sometimes it makes sense to focus directly on the goal. Thus, as our conversations develop, we “swing” back and forth between different interfaces and attention states for as long as you need to develop a clear orientation that will enable you to shape your everyday life.

In my Bonn office I can implement a wider range of visualization materials (figures, woods, ropes) and above all space to visualize these objects on the floor. For in-house consultations, I primarily use a flip chart and meta-plan cards.
